For my first children’s book, I wrote about a skeleton who gets bullied because he’s different from the others. I wanted this book to teach kids about equality and friendship.

I wanted to create. very dense, textured illustrations that cover most of the page. All of the illustrations were created using procreate, in which I used multiple layers and textures to create a hand done aesthetic. I then placed the images in photoshop and manipulated the colors a bit, and then layered some more textures over the images. The rest of the book was assembled in indesign.
